Peter Major  

Peter Major earned a master degree in physics, a doctorate in mathematics and a master degree in economics.

He is special advisor to the Permanent Mission of Hungary in Geneva.

Until his retirement at the end of 2008 he was the head of Space Administrative Software Division of the Radio communication Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union, a UN agency in Geneva.

He had joined the ITU in 1986. His main task, as head of division, was to provide information technology framework in close cooperation with the Space Services Department of the Bureau.

 

Peter actively participated in various activities of the ITU, Internet Governance Forum (IGF), United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD), World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) and other international forums for more than 23 years. Peter is member of Dynamic Coalition on Accessibility and Disability (DCAD, IGF).

He regularly gives presentations on topics on accessible web.

Casper van der Velde  

Casper van der Velde earned a Bachelors degree in communications and he had several management positions in different industries.

 

For six years he is an independent interim management professional. As a partner of C&T Interim Management, he works for private and public organisations on project management and interim management jobs and as a change-consultant he supports the Dutch Deaf Association.

He was involved in the development and introduction of the first mobile RTT application on Blackberry and he was involved in the founding of AnnieS in the Netherlands.

Renee Cohen  

Renee Cohen owns and operates eCaptions.com, a full-service captioning agency. She earned a B.A. degree in 1994, and a masters in Educational Technology from San Diego State University in 2009.

 

After nearly 20 years working as a court reporter, Renee began using the emerging captioning technology to offer innovative solutions in educational and industrial applications, by providing realtime captioning services for organizations and individuals in classrooms, meetings, teleconferences and a variety of other venues.

 

Renee Cohen is also a continuing education editor of the Journal of Court Reporting.

Renee lives in Encinitas, California, United States of America.

Marcel Bobeldijk  

Marcel Bobeldijk is president of the European Federation of Hard of Hearing People (EFHOH) and a board member of the International Federation of Hard of Hearing People (IFHOH).

 

Formerly, he was a volunteer board member of the SHJO, the Dutch Organization of Hard of Hearing Young People, and for many years he was the treasurer of the International Federation Hard of Hearing Young People (IFHOHYP). He continues to volunteer at the NVVS, the Dutch Organization for hard of hearing people (adults) and he is presently chairman of its committee of the middle-ages group and also chairman of its committee of International affairs.

 

Marcel Bobeldijk is also active at the European level, in the European Disability Forum, as one of the internal auditors and as a member of its Committee on Universal Access. He is also a member of the WHO-Europe working group of hard of hearing people.

Gonzalo Camarillo

Gonzalo Camarillo works for Ericsson Research in Finland.

He received M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the Stockholm (Sweden) Royal Institute of Technology and from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (Spain).

 

His research interests include signaling, multimedia applications, transport protocols, and networking architectures. He has authored a number of RFCs, books, patents, and scientific papers on these areas. Gonzalo has co-authored, among other standards, the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) specification (RFC 3261).

 

He has served on the IAB (Internet Architecture Board) and has chaired a number of IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) working groups.

 

Currently, Gonzalo is the director of the RAI (Real-time Applications and Infrastructures) area at the IETF. He is also the IETF liaison manager to 3GPP.

Raymond Kruyer  

Raymond Kruyer is the CEO for 4C Telecom and is always on the phone connecting and inspiring people.

As both his parents are deaf, he has a good understanding of the challenges deaf and hard of hearing have to meet.

 

He has over 15 years of experience as an independent entrepreneur in marketing and organizing events. He has the end responsibility and is in charge of marketing, sales and business development.

He was involved in the development and introduction of the first mobile RTT application on the Blackberry and is involved in the founding and managing of AnnieS in the Netherlands.
